The ozone hole was present in satellite data long before Joseph Farman uncovered it in 1985. CRISPR sequences sat in genomic databases long before Francisco Mojica recognized the repeating structures in 1993. The 2008 financial crisis was embedded in mortgage data long before Michael Burry discovered the risks. Discoveries require brilliance — and, perhaps more importantly, knowing where to look.
Conway is the best way to explore data. Today, we provide fast, multi-modal inference to extract patterns from large datasets. Our aim is to build a model in which pattern extraction becomes the primary output, not a byproduct of generation. While today's transformers compress patterns into hidden representations for next-token prediction, we're developing models that explicitly optimize for discovering interpretable structures.
Conway is an applied research team focused on the future of pattern discovery. Our founding team includes builders who have worked at companies like Anthropic, Bridgewater, Meta, Sandia National Labs, and BlackRock. If you're interested, apply to one of our roles.
